Given that there is an abundance of living solar panels in a rainforest,
billions achieve their use-by dates at any given time – day
or night. Most of them may show some evidence of, usually insect-induced
‘wear and tear’ marks by the time they are ready to take
the plunge towards the ground. Some may make the journey down to earth
quickly, whilst others may become snagged in vines, webs, and tree
forks. At any stage of their decomposition they may be copied by all
manner of creatures.
