0273: Asian Green Tree Skink
Lamprolepis smaragdinum
Bantimurong, Sulawesi, Indonesia
REPTILES (Skinks - Scincidae)
Light-loving baskers like skink lizards are poorly represented in
the shady green cathedrals of this part of the world. However where
sunlight penetrates to the ground along creeks, farmland, gardens,
pathways and roads some species can be quite common. Some species
have become capable tree climbers in order to find basking perches.
